PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE COACHING
Our mission is to bring love, awareness, and support to individuals experiencing kidney disease. We at G&T Hearts want each person and their family to know we understand the difficulties that are faced, as we have gone through the challenges and victories of kidney disease. G&T are Certified Kidney Health Coaches through the American Kidney Fund organization. We believe in the power of knowledge and offer educational classes on the causes and treatments of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end stage renal disease (ESRD) to promote awareness and prevention in the community. With the support of loving donations, it is our goal to give each new kidney recipient a home care package for the continuation of wound care and to provide essentials to maintain good kidney functions. We also donate Love Bags to local dialysis clinics.
Our motto is Faith + Believing = Strength.

MEDICAL TIPS
THE LATEST TIPS ON MAINTAINING GOOD KIDNEY HEALTH
Monitoring your health
Monitoring your health is an important part of kidney disease. Keeping a record of blood pressure and blood sugar readings can help your provider know how your kidneys are functioning; as high blood pressure and diabetes are two main causes of renal failure.
Why checkups are vital
Attending routine doctor visits with labs can determine how well your kidneys are functioning and will also inform your provider on which form of treatment is necessary. Labs such as blood draws and urine samples will show if the current method of treatment is working. Visiting your health clinic will also help with receiving refills and needed medications.
Family Support Awareness
Support from your family makes dealing with chronic kidney disease a little easier, and helps to reassure you that you are not alone. Family support has also provided patients the push they need to not give up. Families can attend doctor visits, hospital stays, and help with difficult decisions. It is important that your family attends as many educational sessions as possible, to learn treatment plans; transplant options; and to gain information regarding support groups.
