G&T

Gregory and Treneika have been married for 13 years. They have two wonderful children; a daughter age 12 and a son, age 10. They were also blessed with a 14 year old god daughter as an edition to their family. Gregory and Treneika have 19 years of experience and knowledge of kidney disease. In 2000, Gregory went into renal failure at age 19, which lead  to the start of dialysis. Gregory  has since received two kidney transplants, the  most recent in 2018. Treneika has been by his side every step of the way and assisted in every decision concerning his health.

Treneika Futrell

Treneika has been in the medical field for over 10 years. She is a Certified Medical Assistant as well as a National Certified Phlebotomist. She has worked along side well known doctors providing the best care to a wide range of patients. Treneika has also overcame the challenges and celebrated the triumphs with Gregory. After participating in a donors clinic, Treneika was informed that she was a positive blood match for Gregory, and planned to donate one of her kidneys. Unfortunately, Treneika's hopes were deferred after experiencing complications with reoccurring pregnancies, which eliminated her eligibility of kidney donation for Gregory. After years of persevering through faith, Gregory received his first kidney transplant, however that kidney failed failed in 2016 which resulted in him receiving home hemodialysis five days a week. Treneika provided care for Gregory and received training from a Dialysis Nurse on how to properly treat him at home. Treneika  felt blessed to have the skills and knowledge to assist her husband in every way. Today, Treneika is a Certified Kidney Health Coach, and is equipped with the knowledge to assist other families with information needed to successfully prevent or manage kidney disease.

"Family support is everything. It may be the difference between someone mentally and physically pushing forward or giving up on life". -Treneika Futrell
